Share-a-Pet program continues to grow in Boca Raton

Share-a-Pet has become a family affair in Boca with mother and son teams, mother and daughter teams and entire families going to visit the elderly and people otherwise restricted to share the love of their pets. Share-a-Pet offers community service hours for eligable students. Share-a-Pet continues to grow in Boca bringing on five or more members a week. Share-a-Pet will have a professional photographer taking photos of the volunteer pets this weekend in Boca to make Holiday cards for the residents in the nursing homes. Share-a-Pet adopts 'The Children's Place' located at 680 Ipswich St. to offer pet assisted therapy to abused and homeless children. Share-a-Pet will start its reading program in Boca this week. The program is called 'Paws to Read' and will offer children with difficulty reading an opportunity to read to the dogs as a means to improve their reading skills.
