The Coral Springs Pet Resort and Medical Center opened its doors - and also their bone shaped indoor swimming pool - to the pets and volunteers of Share-a-Pet this past January for its first ever Pets And People Make A Difference party. Approximately 100 people and 45 pooches spent the day enjoying the facilities of the Pet Resort located at 11155 W. Sample Road. "We were so happy to host this event for Share-a-pet. The volunteers and their pets provide such a worthy service for those who cannot have pets of their own. They truly make a difference in the lives of the people they visit. We were happy to give the pets and their owners a chance to enjoy themselves at our Resort," said veterinarian Dr. Penny Kupferberg of the CSPR.

Share-a-Pet is a non-profit organization that provides pet assisted therapy to the elderly and restricted. Volunteers bring their own pets to nursing homes, retirement facilities and shelters for regular visits with residents. "We wanted to thank our many volunteers for their dedication to Share-a-Pet and the Coral Springs Pet Resort was kind enough to provide us with a beautiful location for our pets to play in a safe and spacious indoor play park, and for our volunteers to talk with each other about their experiences with Share-a-Pet." commented Sachin Mayi, Director of the organization.
