Avante specializes in long and short-term convalescent and rehabilitative care provided by a highly skilled staff. Avante’s staff works together as a team, coordinating efforts through patient care conferences with the resident and family members.

Coral Sunset Elementary School
Coral Sunset Elementary School located in Boca Raton is the launch of Share-a-Pet's 'Paws to Read' program. The program is designed to help kids feel comfortable and confident while reading to the pets. It is a lot of fun!

Edgewaters Activity Center
Edgewaters Activity Center is a very large and beautiful complex located in Boca Raton. The facility ranges from assisted living to to long term and has a wonderful homelike ambiance. The staff are amazingly helpful and kind and make doing our pet assisted therapy there an added joy.

Menorah House
The Menorah House is a wonderful facility located off of State Road 7 in Boca. In specializes in long term care and rehabilitation and is very tastefully done in very rich tones making for a very uplifting environment.

Mae Volen Senior Center
The Mae Volen Senior Center is a treasure for the elderly. Surrounded by lush trees, the facility is spacious and comfortable. Visiting elderly enjoy the social and stimulating atmosphere of the facility.

Potentials School
Potentials, located near FAU in Boca Raton, serves children ages 3-10 who are developmentally disabled. With a complete staff offering physical, occupational, and speech therapies, Potentials offers students the greatest chance to learn and grow.

Whitehall Boca Raton

Volunteer Lisa Cohen leads the Share-a-Pet 'Paws to Read' program at John Leonard High School located in Greenacres. This program focuses on children with various learning disabilities and assists them with social integration skills.

The residents are very lively and receptive to pet assisted therapy and are very enthusiastic to have the many volunteers who visit their facility from Share-a-pet.

Generations Adult and Child Daycare

Independence Hall
Independence Hall is a facility of Marrinson Senior Care Residences. The company, founded in 1966 by Ralph A. Marrinson, offers a continuum of care geared towards the evolving needs of the senior population. This continuum includes independent residential living, assisted living, and skilled nursing and rehabilitative care as well as respite.

Manor Pines
Manor Pines is a beautiful, large facility located at 1701 Ne 26th Street in Ft. Lauderdale. There are many wonderful and receptive residents there and the staff is very helpful and enthusiastic about our visits.

Mercy Manor North
This is a small facility with less than 30 residents. The facility offers full time skilled nursing for long term stays and for residents unable to live on their own. Most of the residents spend the day in the main activity room where we visit with our pets and spend a pleasant time in a living room type setting. It is like going to visit one's grandparents.

Michael & Dianne Bienes Comprehensive Cancer Center
Located at Holy Cross Hospital, Bienes Cancer Center offers cancer diagnosis, comprehensive cancer treatment and outstanding aftercare, offering a multidisciplinary approach to care, a compassionate and spiritual healing environment, and an affiliation with the National Cancer Institute.

Palm Court Rehab and Nursing
Palm Court Rehab and Nursing located in Ft. Lauderdale is a fully staffed in-resident nursing care facility. The facility has a beautifully light and spacious central meeting area where many residents receive our pets with great enthusiasm. This facility is also great for visiting room to room.

Emerald Park Retirement Center
Emerald Park is a beautiful facility located just west of I 95 on Stirling Rd. The facility is large and beautiful with spacious meeting rooms and a nice little library for the residents. The residents are very alert and active and enjoy the homelike environment.

Hollywood Active Day Center
Hollywood Active Day Center is located in the downtown section of beautiful Hollywood.  Hollywood Active provides weekday assistance to seniors who attend this facility and have some physical or emotional limitations.  The facility is open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and provides door-to-door bus service to/from the participant’s home. On average, there are approximately 25 participants at the facility on a given day.  A hot lunch is provided and activities are planned throughout the day.  There are two general activity rooms (dining room) where SHARE-A-PET conducts their visits.  Participants are asked to remain in their seats during the visit and our pets are on-leash at all times.

Orange Blossom Manor ALF
Orange Blossom is a large predominantly Jewish nursing care facility located in Miramar off of 52nd Ave. The residents are very alert and interactive and thoroughly enjoy the pets. There is a large comfortable living room area where we offer our pet assisted therapy. A great place to chat and have fun.

Palace
The Palace is more like a nice hotel than a nursing facility. It consists of several buildings surrounded by beautiful lawns. The community area is very pleasant and a great place for the therapy animals to enjoy their interaction with the residents.

Palm Garden of Aventura
Palm Garden is a fully staffed rehabilitation as well as long term care facility located in Aventura near the hospital. Our pet therapists have several activity and rehab rooms to visit as well as visiting individual rooms. The residents are very interactive and welcome this an a valuable addition to their therapy routines.

Broward Institute
The Broward Institute is a 120 bed facility near the corner of Sample and I 95. They are a skilled nursing facility that provides a variety of care including short term, long term, rehabilitation, hospice, and more. Patients may be recovering from surgery, injury, or stroke; some are making decisions about long-term care.  The staff is particularly friendly, not only welcoming our pets but also helping patients to interact with them.

NE Focal Point
This day care facility in Deerfield is a pleasant place.  It has about 15-20 daily drop-in seniors with mild alzheimers who come Monday through Friday.  The seniors are extremely alert and they and the staff alike thoroughly appreciate and enjoy our visits.  The clients are very interactive with the dog and love the attention.

Pompano Rehab
This is a large facility with over 100 residents. The facility offers full time skilled nursing for long term stays and for residents unable to live on their own. The facility also has a few people who are there short term for rehabilitation. Most residents are limited in their mobility, some are bedfast. Therefore, we visit the main area and go room to room providing one on one interaction and building friendships. The staff has been very friendly and the residents love the animals and welcome our visits.

Seaview Nursing & Rehab
Seaview Nursing is located just east of US 1 near Atlantic Blvd. in Pompano. The residents are often gathered together in the main activities room as well as outside in the courtyard. There are a few room visits for individuals who are refined to their beds. The residents and staff are very up beat and friendly.

Aston Gardens, located in Parkland, is a beautiful senior living facility which offers assisted living as well as a dementia unit. This facility was voted 'America's Best' and with one look you will know why.

Daystar
Daystar is a very comfortable facility located in Pembroke Pines. The facility has few residents and offers a wonderful homelike feel in the visiting rooms. It is like visiting family!

Heartland of Lauderhill
Heartland of Lauderhill located on 55th and Oakland Park Blvd. is a facility which offers specialized care to people with dementia, Alzheimer's, and other similar diseases. Their program is designed for people who cannot adequately care for themselves, and require a safe and pleasant environment in which to live. Residents are able to safely stroll both inside the building and outside on the patio area. The residents enjoy seeing and petting the animals.

Lauderhill Alzheimer
Lauderhill's adult day Alzheimer facility is a small and friendly facility located in Lauderdale Lakes. The residents love the pets and look forward to our regular visits to brighten their day.

Plantation Nursing and Rehab Center
This nursing care facility offers the best of both worlds, seniors and children. There is a special wing where handicapped chidren of varing degrees receive care and attention and when they see the pets, a world of joy floods the room. A great facility with a lot of pet lovers.

Summerville Retirement Center
Summerville of Margate is a gorgeous facility on the edge of a beautiful lake. The residents are very alert and active and enjoy a well staffed and managed facility.

Tamarac Rehab and Health Center
Tamarac Rehab is a 120 bed skilled nursing facility with both rehab and long term residents. The facility offers full time skilled nursing and holds rehabilitation team conferences on a regular basis. The staff is very friendly and the residents are particularly receptive to the pets.

West Broward Care Center
West Broward is a large facility which offers long term care as well as rehabilitation. Under the guidence of acivity director Juli Zeno, the residence enjoy many wonderful activities daily such as aroma therapy and massage. There are many pet lovers at this facility and the atmosphere is lively and enjoyable.

Veteran's Nursing Home
Located on W. Cypress Drive in Pembroke Pines, the Veteran's Nursing Home provides the very finest care for Florida's Veterans. The facility is large and spacious and the residents are free to enjoy the many activities which are offered.
