HOLIDAY PARTY, FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA

On December 15, 2006, Share-A-Pet threw a Christmas Party for all its volunteers and pets, at Central Bark Doggy Day Care. There was a silent auction with lively bids by our volunteers and their friends.

Mimi Sutter won her bids for a 'Basic Obedience Training for dogs at Central Bark' valued at $150, a '10 day Doggie Day Care Punch Card at Central Bark' valued at $227.50 and a 'FACIAL REJUVENATION at Oceanside Healing Center' valued at $150.

Liz Marcino won her bid for a 'Dog Day at the Central Bark Spa' valued at $78.

Yvette Veliz won her bid for a '90 minutes HOT ROCKS massage at Oceanside Healing Center' valued at $125.

Catering for this event was donated by Whole Foods and India House (563 W. Oakland Park Blvd; tel #: 954-290-6345) and also made possible by a generous donation from David Soifer.

This was a fun-filled event where volunteers and their pets mingled with each other and also met with, world famous 'Pet Psychic' to the stars, Joan Ranquet (www.joanranquet.com) who took time out from her busy schedule to meet with Share-A-Pet.

SHARE-A-PET HOLIDAY PARTY 2007 in Fort Lauderdale

The Share-A-Pet party was held at Central Bark Doggy Day Care on Dec. 8, 2007. We are thankful to Croissan’Time for providing the most delicious pastries and croissants, and to Gigi & Luca Pet Boutique and Posh Paws Salon & Bone Appetit Pet Boutique for gifting us with doggie treats.

We THANK the following individuals and businesses for donating items to the party: Pat Domin, Susan McCauley, Lara Greisman, Whole Foods Market, California PIZZA KITCHEN, Bennigan’s, Heavenly Hounds, Central Bark Doggy Day Care and Stacey’s Custom Cakes.

MANY THANKS also to Pat and Kristi Domin for putting together our holiday tree. Each ornament on the tree had a picture of a Share-A-Pet TOP dog, which Pat & Kristi painstakingly glued onto each ornament.

Christmas Miracle?
Chantale Stark attended the party with her niece Katie and her therapy dog Chance. Katie was the only child present at the party. Earlier in the week, Kristi Domin had donated a pair of Heely's for a drawing at the Share-A-Pet party. Not only did Katie win that particular pair of Heely's, but those shoes were also in her exact size. In addition, Heely's were what she wanted for Christmas.

When did Kristi talk to Santa?

Please stay tuned for our next fundraising 'Valentine's Day' Event to be held at one of our local facilities.

HOLIDAY PARTY, SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA

On December 14, 2006, Share-A-Pet threw a Holiday Party for the residents of the Sunrise Senior Living Center at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.

Dog visits are always a popular event at Sunrise, and residents turned out to visit their canine friends and attend a graduation ceremony for some of our newly-certified pet assisted therapy teams.

The Sunrise kitchen provided wonderful hors-d’oveurs (cheese and crackers, baked goods, beverages, and veggies with dip) and a local restaurant, Rose Pistola, baked decadent mini fudge cakes and homemade dog biscuits for our heroic canine volunteers.

The party was presided over by Lucy, Sunrise’s house dog, who couldn’t figure out what to be happier about—other dogs to play with or the gourmet dog biscuits!
