Share-A-Pet has designed the TOP test specifically to certify pets and their handlers as qualified to perform Pet Assisted Therapy in hospitals, nursing homes, children’s centers and other designated institutions. The TOP Test is only part of the certification process and should not be considered as an independent qualification to perform Pet Assisted Therapy. TOP tests are performed by trained and registered TOP testers. Contact your local Coordinator for testers in your area. Photos will be taken for your volunteer badges, so come prepared!

• Professional dog trainer for 10 years
• Masters in dog training, 1998, from the Tom Rose School of dog training; taught the Professional Dog Trainers course at the school
• Competed in AKC obedience (novice through utility) with many different breeds
• Schutzhund dog training
• Trained service dogs, therapy dogs, search and rescue dogs as well as protection and narcotic finding dogs.

Rachel Dolden and Confident Canines offer private lessons, in kennel training and small group classes. Rachel specializes in basic obedience, competitive obedience, therapy and service dogs as well as tracking and behavior modification.
