It is easy and fun to become a Share-A-Pet Volunteer and begin making a difference in the lives of others.

By filling out our online application, you will be registering to become a Share-A-Pet Member.

We have two forms of Membership, the Pet Program for those interested in volunteering with their pets, and the Assistant Program for those interested in volunteering on a committee.

Everyone who signs up to become a Member will be required to attend a Share-A-Pet Orientation Meeting prior to volunteering.

Volunteers signing up for the Pet Program will require additional testing and training.

Volunteers are asked to make a six month commitment to serving those in need.

Pet Program Members volunteer one hour a week at a convenient time in a facility such as a hospital, nursing home, children’s center or in our Pawsitive Reading Program.

Volunteers in the Assistant Program meet once a month at an Action Committee Meeting where they discuss and volunteer for various tasks to help the organization reach more people in need.

The application fee is $50, which includes a $30 annual membership fee and a $20 TOP test fee. Each family member should sign up individually.
