Volunteer Requirements

To become a Share-A-Pet Pet Program volunteer, your dog must be:

• spayed/neutered,
• people and dog friendly,
• have basic obedience skills,
• at least a year old,
• you must have owned your dog for one year,
• and your dog must be current with its rabies vaccination.

We also ask all of our volunteers to adopt a facility near by where they live, or that is convenient, and to commit to visiting their facility one hour per week. Volunteers should also be dedicated to our mission and to helping us grow as a national organization.
